About
Magistrate Gary Sheff, a Charleston native, grew up the youngest of five children in the shadows of Laidley Field and the West Virginia State Capitol.
Gary is a graduate of Charleston High School and has a B.S. in Business from West Virginia State University (1985). He worked in the healthcare and commercial design furniture business for 29 years.
Gary has devoted himself to the youth and families through his volunteer efforts with Family Counseling Connection (Board Chair – 2008 to 2010) and through the Charleston Church Recreation Association (President 1994 to present).
Gary has also served as a local basketball official and softball umpire for twenty years. Gary has officiated many state tournaments.
Gary’s ties to the business community and his long track record of working to improve the lives of youth and families make him an ideal choice to continue as a Kanawha County Magistrate.
